Mesa, AZ, Firefighters Attack Apartment Building Fire

Firefighters had to exit the building when fire conditions quickly changed.

Mesa firefighters battled a stubborn fire that caused significant damage to an apartment building.  

When firefighters first got to the roof of the building, they were forced to quickly exit due to the heavy fire and smoke conditions, A defensive operation was initiated.

There were no reported injuries, according to 12 News.

The cause is under investigation.
