Aug. 28, 2024
The fire started on the rear patio of the House of Pizza, Clinton firefighters said.

A fire in downtown Clinton destroyed or damaged several structures.

Two firefighters were injured including one who was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Clogged routes, heavy pedestrian traffic and water woes were among challenges firefighters faced.

The new sign and facade at the House of Pizza collapsed during the incident, Fox reported.

The fire appears to have started on a back patio of the pizza shop and quickly spread.

Clinton Fire Department Fire Marshal Donya Langston said three businesses were lost during the incident.
