Houses Destroyed in Three-Alarm Fire in Providence, RI

Firefighters found heavy fire when they responded to the incident Friday morning and requested additional manpower.

Two houses were destroyed by fire in Providence Friday morning.

The flames quickly spread from one house to another, causing crews to call for two extra alarms to bring assistance, WPRI reported.

No firefighters were injured. However, a resident was being evaluated by EMS.

Crews remained at the scene mopping up and checking for hotspots.

The cause is under investigation.
