Former Yarmouth, MA, Inn Destroyed by Massive Fire

Fearing the fire may spread to two nearby structures, Yarmouth crews called for additional manpower.

A well-known landmark on Cape Cod was destroyed in a raging fire on Sunday night.

The massive blaze at the old Anthony's Cummaquid Inn lit up the night sky was visible for several miles, CBS Boston reported.

Yarmouth firefighters quickly called for assistance from mutual aid departments from several towns as the fire threatened nearby structures.

The cause remains under investigation.
