Roof of Denny's in Commerce, CA, Collapses During Fire

While there were no customers present, restaurant workers escaped without injury, Los Angeles County fire officials said.

A massive fire left the roof of a Denny’s restaurant partially collapsed in the City of Commerce early Monday morning.

Los Angeles County firefighters found heavy fire through the roof of the restaurant, which was open. 

Employees left without injury. No customers were in the diner at the time, KTLA reported.

Guests staying at a Best Western Plus located on the same property had to temporarily evacuate the building, including one who said she heard an explosion.
