Firefighters were called early Wednesday to a fire on Boudinot Street in Trenton, where explosions were heard as flames tore through a duplex.

The fire was reported shortly after 1 a.m. in the three-story home near Murray Street. At least one person suffered facial burns. Four others were taken to a hospital, according to 6abc Philadelphia.

What sounds like explosions can be heard in cellphone video taken near the scene. “I didn’t see anything. I just heard things exploding,” one man told the news station.

Residents were evacuated from nearby homes as firefighters fought the blaze through the early morning hours.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Local authorities did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
