The driver of a dump truck had to be extricated after he was involved in an accident with two other commercial vehicles Monday morning in Millsboro.
Indian River Volunteer Fire Company firefighters arrived at a three-vehicle accident between two dump trucks, and a garbage truck with the driver of the dump truck needing extrication
Firefighters also needed to address multiple fluids leaking from the vehicles, according to a Facebook post by Indian River Volunteer Fire Company.
Crews called for additional resources, including the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, Sussex County Technical Rescue Team for technical rescue assistance.
Firefighters extricated the dump truck driver and packaged him for transport by the Delaware State Patrol's aviation unit.
Crews addressed the hazardous materials spill on the roadway, which required resources from the Millsboro Hazardous Material Unit, Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control Hazardous Materials Unit and the Delaware Department of Transportation responded.
