TNT Rescue Selects Briggs & Stratton Engines For Pumps
Vanguard Engines were selected to power a series of hydraulic pumps from one of the most respected manufacturers in the rescue industry. Vanguard 6.5-hp single-cylinder engines with the TransportGuard System now power the ATT-6.5 Accelerator gas pump from TNT Rescue.
“Reliable performance and durability during transport doesn’t get more critical than when it’s powering equipment in the rescue industry,” said Dan Roche, Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power marketing manager. “Our TransportGuard System was designed to thrive in situations that TNT Rescue pumps operate in every day.”
The patented TransportGuard System ensures that fuel stays where it belongs in the engine and helps eliminate fouled plugs, hydraulic lock, cylinder wash down and crankcase oil dilution caused by transportation.
Ultimately, this saves equipment owners money by decreasing downtime and repair costs while helping ensure rescue equipment operates properly once it arrives at the scene. The Vanguard engines will supply power to the hydraulic pump to provide the appropriate pressure and flow of hydraulic fluid to the rescue tool, which could be a spreader, cutter, ram or combination tool.
“At TNT Rescue we pride ourselves in designing, building and distributing the highest quality hydraulic rescue tools and Vanguard engines with the TransportGuard system ensure our pumps are ready to work when duty calls,” said Tim Blanton, TNT Rescue Vice President.
