Several Middle Tennessee communities were damaged Saturday as tornadoes and severe weather rolled through the region, leaving several dead and dozens injured.
A suspected tornado touched down in Clarksville, northwest of Nashville, causing extensive damage to the northern part of the city, according to WKRN.com.
That destruction left three dead and 23 injured, officials told the television station.
Another tornado touched down in Madison, Davidson County, around 5 p.m. leaving three people, including a 2-year-old boy, dead.
Around 5 p.m., cameras caught a confirmed tornado moving through Davidson County. Video shows the storm moving through the area, causing a handful of explosions in its path.
A collapse of the Community Church left 13 injured in Madison and the two were hurt when the roof of an arcade was ripped off by the winds in nearby Hendersonville.
Gallatin, located northeast of Nashville, sustained heavy damaged from the storm but Mayor Paige Brown told the television that no serious injuries were reported.
