A train bridge over the Marys River in Corvallis collapsed on Saturday, sending one train car filled with agricultural materials into the river. No injuries were reported.

The train car, which was operated by Portland & Western, derailed around 12:08 p.m. because of the “structural failure of a train trestle,” the Corvallis Police Department said in a statement.

Two other train cars were “unstable” after the incident, police said. Photos from the area show one of the cars partially underwater.

Police and firefighters from the Corvallis Fire Department are responding to the scene, and the ecological recovery company Northwest Firefighters is working to contain any materials that may have leaked into the river, police said.
