Sacramento Metro Fire debuted a new-look fire truck that will be on call for the next two months.
The apparatus is half pink and half blue as part of a cancer awareness effort.
"We are getting awareness to our community. Go get your screenings. Take care of any medical conditions you have so you can be there for your loved ones," Capt. Parker Wilbourn told FOX 40 News.
The apparatus debuted on October 1 and will stay wrapped through November.
“We understand the profound impact cancer has had on individuals and their loved ones, and we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference through our efforts,” the fire department said in a press release.
The pink side is for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and the blue side is for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in November.
