Three wildland firefighters were injured Saturday when they were struck by a rolling log while battling the Trinity Ridge Fire in Idaho.
Two of the firefighters were transported to a hospital in Boise while a third was treated at the scene, according to The Idaho Statesman.
One of the hospitalized firefighter suffered serious injuries to his chest, elbow and wrist that will take at least three weeks to recover from, an official told the newspaper.
The other hospitalized firefighter was treated for an ankle injury before being released back to duty while the third was treated for head and neck injuries at the scene.
All three firefighters are part of a hotshot crew based in Bonneville, Utah.
The more than 100,000-acre wildfire grew about 3,000 acres on Friday and 10,000 acres on Saturday.
