Calif. Firefighter, Medic Injured in Crash

Their SUV was hit nearly head-on near Taft.
A paramedic and a firefighter were injured in a three-vehicle crash near Taft.
The two were riding in an SUV when it was hit nearly head-on by a minivan, according to Taft Midway Driller.
A third vehicle also was struck after that collision.
The two emergency personnel managed to climb out of their overturned vehicle, while the van driver was pinned, the paper reported.
All were treated for injuries.
The probe of the crash is continuing.
