House Fire Leaves Two Calif. FFs Burned

A Cal Fire firefighter suffered second and third degree burns to his upper body.

Two firefighters were burned while battling a Wednesday night house fire in Pine Grove.

Aaron Williams, 22, suffered second and third degree burns to his arms, ears, neck and shoulders, according to news10.net. The two-year member of Cal Fire, who was assigned to the Pine Grove fire station, was transported by helicopter to UC David Medical Center.

"Firefighter Williams remains in good spirits surrounded by family and fellow firefighters," Cal Fire spokesperson Brice Bennett said.

An Amador Fire Protection District firefighter was in stable condition with burns at Sutter Amador Hospital.

Bennett said his crews were called to assist Amador Fire Protection District around 9:30 p.m.
