Dallas Medic Attacked at Med Call

A paramedic with Dallas Fire-Rescue was attacked and punched after he told a man he didn't need to go to the hospital.

A paramedic with Dallas Fire-Rescue was attacked and punched after he told a man he didn't need to go to the hospital. 

According to a report published by NBCDFW TV 5, a Dallas man called 911 for medical assistance and punched the paramedic who said he didn't need to go to the hospital. The man, Pilo Tienda, 32, then tackled the paramedic, taking him to the ground in Main Street Garden Park. 

A second paramedic helped the down medic and held the suspect down until Dallas police arrived, according to the television station report. 

The paramedic who was attacked was treated at the scene for minor injuries and the suspect was arrested for assault on a public servant and taken to jail, according to the television station report.
