Two firefighters were injured after falling through the floor during overhaul efforts in East Cleveland Sunday morning.
Firefighters were called to the vacant apartment building around 5:30 a.m., according to News5Cleveland.com.
Crews found heavy smoke and fire from the three-story building and initiated an interior attack.
After an hour-long effort to contain the fire, command pulled crews from the structure, according to a post on the East Cleveland Firefighters IAFF Local 500 Facebook page.
A 30-minute exterior attack brought the fire under control and crews returned to the interior to knock down any remaining fire and that is when the two firefighters fell through the floor.
The firefighters are doing well, according to the television station.
