A New York suffered serious facial injuries when he was attacked at the scene of a barn fire last week.

The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. Friday after Tuscarora firefighters were responding to a large barn fire at Trappler Bros. Farms in Addison, First News Now reports. As crews battled the fire, a confrontation ensued between Jeremie Eccleston and Quinn Lawless Stocum, 33.

Stocum allegedly assaulted Eccleston, who suffered facial injuries in the attack. He was taken to the hospital with fractures to his cheek bone and is set to have surgery later this week.
