Three Minneapolis firefighters were hospitalized when a portion of a porch roof collapsed on them Sunday evening at a structure fire.
Firefighters were called to the 5500 block of 32nd Avenue South where crews laid handlines to the rear of the home to start suppression and conduct searches.
While companies were operating, a porch roof collapsed trapping three firefighters. According to a tweet from the Minneapolis Fire Department, a mayday was called, and command ordered a second alarm for additional resources.
All three firefighters were rescued and taken to medic units for transportation to a local hospital.
