NY FF Riding Bike to Call Struck by Car

The Coxsackie firefighter was responding to a call on their bicycle when they were struck by a hit-and-run driver.

A Coxsackie firefighter was struck by a hit-and-run driver while riding a bicycle to the station to respond to a call.

The firefighter was struck at 12:30 p.m. at Bailey and Mansion streets and the driver continued on without stopping.

"Thankfully the member was not injured," the department shared.

A photo of the car that struck the firefighter was shared and police are conducting an investigation.
