Explosion Leaves TX Firefighter with Upper Body Burns

The Blackwell firefighter sustained burns to his face, neck and arms after a pipe exploded.

A Blackwell firefighter sustained burn injuries by an explosion at a fire Wednesday.

The firefighter was injured when a gas line exploded at the Oak Creek Ranch, Big Country Homepage reported. Officials did not indicate the type of fire that crews responded to.

According to Concho Valley Homepage, the firefighter suffered burns to his face, neck, and arm during the explosion.

He was transported to the burn center in Lubbock and late released.
