Two of the four Fort Worth firefighters injured when their engine rolled Tuesday morning remain hospitalized.
Chief Jim Davis said the rig's driver was pinned while another firefighter was ejected.
The firefighter who was ejected was flown to a trauma center and is in the intensive care unit in critical condition while the driver also remains hospitalized.
Their families as well as fellow firefighters are with them, Davis said during a press conference Tuesday afternoon.
The engine was headed to a working house fire when the driver lost control of the rig. No other vehicles were involved in the 2:30 a.m. wreck.
Fort Worth Police are investigating the crash that left the engine on its side. Equipment was strewn over a large area at the scene.
