Perryton, TX, Assistant Chief Seriously Injured by Hoseline

A five-inch hose whipped as it was being charged at a last week and struck the three Perryton firefighters.

The Perryton Fire Department assistant chief injured by a hose malfunction remains in critical condition.

Assistant Chief Scott Glass suffered a serious head injury when a five-inch line malfunctioned as it was being charged at a structure fire last week, according to a release from city officials.

Firefighter Thomas Beal. who sustained a head injury and multiple fractures, was released after treatment and observation.

Firefighter Jacob Anderson suffered minor injuries and was treated and released.
