Center Star, AL, Fire Rescue Firefighter Shot Helping Crash Victim

Firefighter Grace McClusky, who is recovering, didn't know the crash happened as the vehicle was being pursued.

An Alabama firefighter who stopped to rener aid to a victim following a wreck was shot and wounded by the patient.

Center Star Fire Rescue Firefighter Grace McClusky is recovering at home, according to officials at her department.

McClusky didn't know the vehicle involved in the wreck was being pursued by police after a bank robbery, WAFF reported.

A Florence police officer also was injured during the incident while the suspect was killed.
