Phenix Technology Among the Top 4 Finalists in CMTA’s ‘Coolest Thing Made in California’ Competition
SACRAMENTO, CA. — Phenix Technology, Inc. is proud to announce that our First Due firefighting helmet has been officially recognized as one of the Top 4 “Coolest Things Made in California” by the prestigious California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA). Competing against over 140 of the state's most innovative products, Phenix was honored at the Making CA conference on October 18, 2024, in Sacramento, CA where the ultimate winner was announced.
Northrop Grumman claimed the top prize with their groundbreaking fastest microchip in the world, winning by just a few hundred votes. Phenix is immensely proud of this achievement and the recognition of our First Due helmet, which reflects decades of expertise and commitment to designing high-quality, American-made firefighting gear.
“To be named a finalist among such an impressive field of California’s finest innovators is an incredible honor,” said Angel Sanchez, Jr., CEO of Phenix Technology, Inc. “We are grateful to everyone who supported us and voted for Phenix. The caliber of this type of recognition only fuels our drive to continue innovating and serving firefighters worldwide. We congratulate Northrup Grumman on this well-deserved recognition.”
Phenix Technology, Inc. continues to lead the firefighting industry with cutting-edge products designed with safety, comfort, and functionality in mind. The First Due helmet, which earned Phenix its place in the competition, embodies its mission to protect the world’s heroes on challenging incidents as well as into retirement.
"We were thrilled to be in the Top 4 and to stand alongside incredible companies like Northrop Grumman," Sanchez added. "The competition was fierce, but it was a privilege to represent Riverside and California's manufacturing community. California truly does make the coolest things in the world."
