FEMA Opens Second Round of COVID-19 Response Grants

The second round of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant—COVID-19 Supplemental Program is to help volunteer and combination fire departments pay for PPE and other supplies.

FEMA has opened a second round of federal firefighter assistance grants, and the deadline is set for November.

The Assistance to Firefighters Grant—COVID-19 Supplemental Program is designed to help volunteer and combination fire departments pay for personal protective equipment and other supplies. The application is open until Nov. 13.

Departments that received grants during the first round are eligible to apply again, according to the USFA. These applications, however, must support new capabilities
