June 8, 2021
Fire-Dex has announced transitions to its executive leadership team, including Steve Allison becoming CEO and Bill Burke transitioning to Chairman.

MEDINA, OH – June 8, 2021 - Today, Fire-Dex announced transitions to the business’s executive leadership team with Steve Allison, former President, becoming the new CEO, succeeding Bill Burke who will transition to Chairman.

Burke’s daughters, Lauren Burke DeVere and Taylor Burke Gilman, joined the company in 2019, making it a family-owned and operated business. Bills’ eldest daughter, Lauren, will take on the role of President of Fire-Dex while his youngest daughter, Taylor, will take leadership as President of Gear Wash, the clean and repair side of the organization.

Over the past two years, Lauren has brought an aggressive approach to managing Fire-Dex's large Metro accounts and brings an intensity in her leadership style that sets for even higher growth expectations. Taylor’s naturally competitive nature, as well as passionate relationship skills, are perfect leadership assets in developing the company’s service business. She has successfully led the onboarding of the two Gear Wash acquisitions in Milwaukee and Hudson, and Fire-Dex will be aggressively adding to the Gear Wash network in 2021 and 2022.

Lauren and Taylor will report to Steve with the rest of the Executive Leadership Team reporting to Lauren. As Chairman of the Fire-Dex Board of Directors, Bill is tasked to ensure that the firm's duties to all stakeholders are being fulfilled by acting as the critical link while providing leadership between the Board and the Executive Leadership Team. As the new CEO, Steve will assume all day-to-day leadership of the company as well as focus on acquisition strategy for PPE market share domestically and internationally.

These changes will take Fire-Dex to the next level of generational development as the business continues to thrive through expansion, increased sales, and its unending dedication to the fire industry.
