Dräger Announces Free NFPA 2018 Upgrade Kit Offer for New 2013 SCBAs
Houston – Dräger announced the offer of a complementary upgrade kit that enables fire departments to purchase new 2013 Dräger self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) now and bring them into NFPA 2018 compliance free of charge.
“At Dräger, we not only focus on continually advancing the safety of our products, we also focus on delivering value,” said Lothar Thielen, President and Regional CEO, Dräger North America. “Our 2018 upgrade kit allows customers to buy the respiratory protection they need right now, without being concerned that it will become outdated when the new standard is released. In effect, this kit makes our SCBAs future-proof at no additional cost.”
Each 2018 SCBA upgrade kit includes:
- New Dräger FPS 7000 mask
- New Dräger PSS LDV and holder
- New Dräger Buddy Breather pouch with UEBSS marking
- NFPA 2018 upgrade compliance labels
- Communications carrier
- Firmware for Sentinel
The free upgrade applies to new 2013 edition equipment purchased during the promotion period, which starts now and ends on the date that Dräger NFPA 1981 2018 edition SCBA is commercially released for sale in the U.S. Customers wishing to take advantage of the free 2018 upgrade should contact their Dräger representative. Dräger will provide the update kit upon the approval of NFPA 2018 SCBA.
To meet the needs and budgets of different fire departments, Dräger offers three SCBA packages based on its most requested configurations: Premier, with Dräger’s top-of-the-line components; Advanced, for price/performance; and Standard, for budget-conscious departments. All Dräger SCBA packages offer outstanding value and are built to the highest standards of quality, including NFPA and NIOSH.
In addition to SCBA packages, Dräger can also configure SCBAs to meet the specific needs of a fire department because all components are built by Dräger and designed to work together.
Dräger SCBAs are backed with a standard 15-year bumper-to-bumper warranty that covers everything except consumables such as hair nets and mask straps. Dräger SCBAs offer an extremely low cost of ownership because they require no overhaul – regardless of the age, amount of use, or length of time in service.
As one of the world’s largest manufacturers of SCBAs, Dräger SCBAs are based on 100+ years of service to firefighters across North America.
