Alexander Griffin, 32, died pursuing the dream of being like his brother, FDNY Firefighter Sean Griffin.

Loved ones and colleagues are mourning the loss of a Queens man who dreamed of becoming an FDNY firefighter -- just like his brother.

Alexander Griffin, 32, collapsed Tuesday while training for his required ability qualification certification to be offered a spot in the new academy class, ABC7 reported.

After experiencing an undetermined medical episode, he received intermediate medical care and was transported to Metropolitan Hospital, where he passed away, FDNY officials said in a statement.

"Our hearts are with the family as they grieve this tragic loss," they wrote.
