Five Phoenix FFs Hurt When Engine Hit by SUV

The civilian was charged with driving under the influence.

A Phoenix fire engine was struck by an SUV early Sunday after the driver, suspected of being under the influence, ran a red light. 

Four of the five firefighters were released after treatment at a local hospital. There was no word on the condition of the other, CBS 5 reported. 

Aliexis Alcantar Mendoza, 30, also was transported. He was charged with driving under the influence, police reported.
