Thousands are gathering Wednesday to honor the Burnsville firefighter and police officers killed while serving their community.
Firefighter/Paramedic Adam Finseth and Officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge are being rembered as heroes.
They were gunned down Feb. 18 at a call for a domestic disturbance.
Following the service at Grace Church in Eden Prairie, there will be a procession to a cemetery.
Finseth is the first firefighter in Minnesota to be shot and killed in the line of duty.
