Hillcrest Fire Chief Michael Scott fell off an engine Tuesday evening and suffered a serious head injury.
Scott was assisting with washing and maintenance when the incident occurred, according to a post on the department's Facebook page.
He received treatment and was transported to a speciaty facility.
"Please keep the Fire Chief in your prayers. Thank you for the support from our partners in and out of county, and the community as a whole," they wrote.
