A Phoenix firefighter suffered minor injuries when he accidentally fired his gun in a fire station on Saturday.

The unidentified firefighter, who was released after treatment at a local hospital, was placed on leave while the investigation is underway, 12 News reported.

There are no other details about the incident at the West Valley station.
