Police are seeking information about a shooting early Sunday that damaged Beaumont Fire Rescue station No. 2.
Beaumont Fire Chief Earl White told 12 news now the incident was "an attack on his staff and the community."
"When I get those calls at that time in the morning that's my biggest concern. Are our personnel safe?"
And, they were.
It's not the first time the station has been on the receiving end of a bullet.
Chief White says that the bullets struck the station's front door. With railroad tracks across the street, it's not known if the shots were stray or intentional.
"Right now we're just having to replace the glass. It's tempered glass, hurricane resistant, so it's pretty expensive."
Camera footage is being reviewed.
