Audio: D.C. Firefighter Calls 'Mayday' after Falling Through Floor

Nine minutes into the operation at the house, D.C. firefighters quickly rescued one of their own.

Nine miniutes after initiating operations at a house fire in the nation's capital early Saturday, a firefighter called 'Mayday.'

The firefighter, who fell from the first floot into the basement, was quickly rescued and was not hurt. 

Crews who continued the effort to quell the flames were hampered by hoarding conditions, according to WUSA9. 

No one was home when the fire, which remains under investigation, was spotted.
