Station 3 is the oldest operating fire station within the Denver Fire Department. Built in 1931, Station 3 was an all-black fire company until integrated with the rest of the department in the mid 1950's. Station 3 serves the historic Five-Points neighborhood, and has achieved historic landmark status. Engine Co. 3 remains busy to this day, responding to approximately 4,500 runs per year. The fit for the apparatus is also the tightest in the city, with about three inches of clearance on each mirror.
