The city of Glendale’s previous municipal facility was more than 100 years old and contained the city’s administrative, police and fire functions. JEMA provided planning, architectural and interior design services to renovate the existing facility and construct a new state-of-the-art fire station. The existing building was transformed into a new City Hall and police headquarters. The new facility allows enhanced response time and on-site training, creates a new “home” for firefighters, employs sustainable practices and anchors the downtown area. This facility was completed on time and under the original budget. The project was awarded the American Institute of Architects St. Louis Honor Award 2019.
