The only fire station in the small town of Hamilton was destroyed when it was hit by a tornado on Saturday.
According to CNN, the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department took a direct hit on Saturday as a line of severe weather moved through the area.
Debris was strewn around and the trucks inside the building remained, but were damaged, CNN reported. Monroe's fire coordinator Terry Tucker, told CNN that no firefighters were hurt. He said the Hamilton station is the only one in a community of about 1,500 people. The nearest other station is 14 miles away.
Although the building was destroyed, firefighters were able to salvage some gear and damage to the apparatus was being assessed, according to CNN.
