To address rapid growth in the city, the Fort Worth Fire Department has opened a temporary station consisting of a tented structure and trailer.
The new temporary station is located 13 miles west of the city’s center and will house an engine company and crew.
According to a report by CBSDFW.com, the station was put together in three months after years of requests by residents and new residents to the area.
Prior to the temporary station being put in place, the nearest station was approximately 10 minutes away.
