    Innovative Fire Station for Canadian Fire Department

    EXTREME Fire Stations (EFS), a division of EXTREME Portable Buildings (EPB) is pleased to have been the manufacturer and installer of the Calgary Fire Department’s newest station.

    EXTREME Fire Stations (EFS), a division of EXTREME Portable Buildings (EPB) based in Lethbridge Alberta is pleased to have been the manufacturer and installer of the Calgary Fire Department’s newest station. This unique relocatable structure, designed to Calgary Fire Department (CFD) specifications is the first of its kind in a major urban center. In addition to being portable the configuration includes a single apparatus bay, four person crew quarters, office and exercise area.

    After exploring options for a temporary unit, CFD determined that a transportable structure that can be purchased, mobilized, stored, and moved to accommodate emergency response activities as required, would be an asset. Patrick Veer – Vice President of EPB commented that we are delighted with all the positive feedback from CFD. They should be commended on their strategic and innovative approach to 21st century community fire protection. EFS will be handing the building over to a CFD crew in coming weeks. It is located in Calgary’s south east community of Walden.

    EPB designs and manufactures relocatable structures for unique applications where conventional portable or modular construction methods are not suitable. EFS focuses exclusively on facilities for the emergency services industry in North America.
