Westwood, Mass., Fire Department recently took delivery of a Ferrara Fire Apparatus aerial that was custom built for their growing community's needs. The 77-foot aerial needed to ride under 10 feet 7 inches to fit under a railroad bridge in the community and to have a short wheelbase. Westwood's aerial came in with a wheelbase of 216-inches
Westwood also had Ferrara build the aerial with full turntable access to each side of the apparatus.
The aerial is equipped with a Hale Q-MAX pump and a FoamPro 2001 foam system and all lighting by Whelen Engineering. It also has a Harrison generator and an integrated 20-gallon foam cell.
