Catawba, Ohio, Puts Tanker/Pumper in Service

Pleasant Township Fire Department in Catawba, Ohio, has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-control tanker-pumper built on an International 7500 chassis.

Pleasant Township Fire Department in Catawba, Ohio, has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-control tanker-pumper built on an International 7500 chassis. The unit has a 3,000-gallon APR polypropylene tank, 1,000 gpm Darley LSP pump, two  2.5-inch direct tank fills and three tank level gauges, one on each side and one on the rear.

It also has three stainless steel Newton 10-inch square dump valves with 36-inch telescoping chutes, one on each side and one in the back. It's equipped with stainless steel “tip-down” portable tank carrier with custom vinyl graphic and 3,000-gallon portable tank, All-POLY Construction

It also has sweep-out-style compartments with R.O.M. anodized aluminum roll-up doors, with door activated LED lighting, vents, floor dry decking, NFPA compliant lighted fold down steps and grab rails, six Whelen scene lights, full width and length hose bed, preconnected hose crosslays, adjustable .75-inch polypropylene dividers and hose cover,

Other equipment and features include two 5-inch by 10-inch PVC flexible hard suction hoses and carriers, Kussmaul battery charger with auto eject, Kussmaul Super Auto Eject connection for air, Whelen warning lights and siren and compliant chevron striping, reflective striping with complimenting gold leaf and custom lettering.
