Bloomingdale, N.Y., Fire Department recently added a brand new Toyne pumper-tanker to its growing fleet.

Bloomingdale, N.Y., Fire Department recently added a brand new Toyne pumper-tanker to its growing fleet. Bloomingdale’s new Toyne was built on a Kenworth T370 2-door cab and chassis and is powered by a Paccar PX-9 380-hp engine coupled with an Allison 3000EVS transmission. For firefighting capabilities, the apparatus features a Toyne tailored, bolted-brushed stainless steel body, Waterous CS 1,250-gpm pump and UPF 2,000-gallon tank. Additional equipment include Fire Research Corp. telescoping lights and a 2,100-gallon portable tank on a Zico hydraulic rack.

The Bloomingdale Fire Department, which is made up of volunteer firefighters, provides professional fire and rescue services to the citizens and businesses of the Bloomingdale, N.Y., area and respond to an average of 150 calls per year.
