The Denison, Iowa, Fire Department recently put in service a 100-foot mid-mount platform aerial built Smeal on a Spartan cab and chassis.

The Denison, Iowa, Fire Department recently put in service a 100-foot mid-mount platform aerial built by Smeal Fire Apparatus on a Spartan cab and chassis. It's powered by a Cummins 500-hp engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission. It has a 2,000-gpm Waterous CSUD pump and a 300-gallon UPF tank. It's also equipped with Smeal lap doors, an Akron electric and manual monitors and Weldon V-Mux IV electrical system. It was sold by Bruce Blum of Danko Emergency Equipment Co.
