Mill Creek, Delaware, Gets New 105-foot Rear-Mount Aerial
Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Department, New Castle County, Delaware, recently put in service a 2016 Pierce Arrow XT 105-foot rear-mount aerial. It's built on Pierce Arrow XT cab and chassis with seating for six occupants. It's powered by a 500-hp Detroit Diesel engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission. it also has a hale QMAX200- 23L 2,000-gpm single stage pump, a UPF 500-gallon tank, a pinable waterway and feather touch aerial controls. Other features include a Kussmaul auto-eject charging system, Bostrom firefighter seats, a Harrison 10,000-watt generator, LED compartment lighting, swing out tool boards, two Hannay electric reels, Amdor roll-up shutter doors, a rear LDH aerial inlet, rear facing camera, LED warning lights, twin front LED brow lights, Akron Brass 1,500-gpm ladder pipe nozzle, LED ladder lights, saws, fans, tarps, tools and a portable Mercury monitor.
