The members of the Wayside, N.C., Volunteer Fire Department have taken delivery of a KME pumper built on a Predator Panther cab and chassis.

The members of the Wayside, N.C., Volunteer Fire Department have taken delivery of a KME pumper built on a Predator Panther cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins 450-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. The cab has a 10-inch raised roof, a 27-inch front bumper extension with a hydraulic reel and an Amkus combi tool and an 100-foot length of 1.75 hose with a full-width tread plate storage cover. To fight fire, it has a Hale 1,500-gpm single-stage pump with a 1,000-gallon polypropylene tank. It also has an Elkhart manual deck gun, 10-inch Newton stainless steel dump valve with an electric actuator and 36-inch manual telescoping chute. Other features include Hansen roll-up doors, Ziamatic dual arm ladder rack, an Onan 15,000-watt hydraulic generator, Voyager Dual camera system, Hi-Viz scene lights, Whelen light package, telescoping lights and Hannay reels.
