The Rochelle, IL, Fire Department has recently taken delivery of a pumper built by Alexis Fire Equipment on an HME 1871-W MFDxL cab powered by a Cummins ISL 9 370-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. For firefighting, it has a Hale QMAX 1,500-gpm pump, a 750-gallon water tank with a 30-gallon Class A foam cell and a Waterous Aquis 2.5 foam proportioning system. It's also equipped with a Zico hydraulic ladder rack with suction hose and pike pole storage, a SmartPower 8,000-watt hydraulic generator, R.O.M. roll-up doors and Whelen LED emergency warning lights.
