Atlanta Fire Department has taken delivery of a 101-foot tractor-drawn aerial built by KME Fire Apparatus. The new rig is powered by a Cummins ISX-12, 500-hp engine and an Allison 4000EVSR 6-speed automatic transmission. It's also equipped with a Predator, severe service MFD cab and chassis with seating for six, and a 16-inch front bumper extension with tread plate gravel shield and a 15,000-pound Warn winch.
Other equipment includes a David Clark Intercom system, On-Spot automatic tire chains and Neway air rear suspension. It also has Whelen warning lights, Fire Research Corporation scene lights, a 1,500-gpm waterway rating with a Storefront Blitz and a Harrison 10,000-watt hydraulic generator.
