May 30--The former chief of the Lawrence Park Volunteer Fire Department pleaded guilty today in Erie County Court to charges he subjected three female firefighters to unwanted sexually explicit text messages and comments.
Nicholas A. Fisher, 33, pleaded guilty to two third-degree misdemeanor charges of harassment by communication. In exchange for his plea, a first-degree misdemeanor charge of stalking was amended to a third-degree misdemeanor charge of harassment.
In addition, summary harassment charges that had accused Fisher of inappropriately grabbing the buttocks of two of the women had been previously withdrawn at the time of his preliminary hearing.
Judge John Garhart accepted Fisher's plea and scheduled sentencing for July 22.
The charges carry a maximum sentence of two years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
