Vehicle Fire in Drive-Thru Spreads to Md. Bank

There were no injuries at the M&T Bank in Hagerstown.

A bank in Hagerstown has been evacuated after a vehicle fire spread to the building.

There were no injuries reported at the M&T Bank on Oak Ridge Drive, according to WHAG.

Halfway Fire Chief Jeff Ringer told reporters when a pickup truck pulled up to the bank, and the driver noticed smoke coming up from the hood. Just after he got out, the truck burst into flames.

The fire then started traveling up through the drive-thru. The building sustained smoke damage. 

Firefighters were called about 11:22 a.m. Monday.
