Firefighters in Kentucky are battling a fire in several buildings in a downtown.
Murray Assistant Fire Chief Matthew Tinsley said about 9 a.m. Wednesday that he expects firefighting operations to continue for several more hours.
At this time, three businesses, two on the west side of the square across from the Calloway County Courthouse and one on Maple Street across from First United Methodist Church, are believed to have received damage from the fire, according to The Murray Leader.
An investigation will be conducted once the fire is out, and the buildings are determined to be safe to enter, he said during a press conference.
